President's
Message
This month, the
Computer Club's General Meeting will be held on Thursday, December 6th
at the Desert Vista Community Center. This meeting will be a combination of
business and pleasure. First, we will convene a brief business meeting for the
purpose of electing the 2008 officers and members of our Board of Directors.
Then we will celebrate our annual holiday social featuring entertainment,
special holiday treats and refreshments and door prizes.
Our members always anticipate this event - and we hope to see you all there!
Early Bird Dues
You
can get a significant discount on your 2008 dues by paying before December 31st,

each additional member of the same household. Early Bird dues may be paid
at the upcoming general meeting on December 6th, in the Classroom during any
Saturday morning BKK or during Open Lab hours. (The Club facilities are closed

New Member Orientation
I plan to hold one more Orientation meeting around the end of January, to
accommodate many who could not attend the previous orientations and those who
joined the Club after the last one. If you are interested in attending, please
email bj.martens@cox.net.
The End
This month marks the end of my term as President of this Club. It's been a very
interesting ride ... and a wonderful opportunity to get to know more of our
volunteers who give so much to make this club what it is. And on this note, I
would like to give my heart-felt thanks to the 2007 Board - and especially to
those who helped me get over some personal hurdles this past year.
